The Early Pieces

These are the pieces I first created.  Back before I was married.  Before I had kids.  Before I had a glass studio.  Okay, so really it's just a workbench in the laundry room.  And before everyone had a digital camera and was an amateur photographer (so cut me some slack!)

Several of these are custom designs that I created myself, so I'd appreciate if you use these photos anywhere, please give me the credit!

My Favorite Mosaics

I had been wanting to use all of my glass scraps for some kind of a mosaic for a long time.  Then I wanted to make a gift for a wonderful lady, and ta-da!  The mosaic cross was born!  Love these!

The Passport Pouch

My family of six will be taking a trip overseas in the very near future. Of course this means that, as the mother, I am in charge of everyone's passport.  Also, the trip was my idea, so by default, I am responsible for all of the logistics.
Anyway...I found this great little sheet of felt at JoAnn Fabric for $0.97 and I had the zipper in my zipper stash. It took longer to thread my sewing machine than it actually took to sew this little guy. Fits all 6 passports and boarding passes (I'll have to bend those, but that happens anyway!)  Safe travels!

Knitted cuff

I've been loving the look of cuffs for awhile know. Finally made the connection that I could knit my own. Sometimes I can't see the forest for the trees! Again, found the free pattern on Ravelry.com

For all of you Husker fans out there...

My little Husker project started with the piece below.  It was a donation for a silent auction, and it did pretty well if I do say so myself!

This mosaic piece quickly followed.  I'm not much of a Husker fan, but even I loved this one.  It has a bit of a steampunk quality to it, so that's what I named it.  It sold within minutes! Thanks Heather!

After that, I realized the freestyle mosaic takes forever, so I drafted a pattern, as well as two others, that I could put together relatively quickly and sell just in time for Christmas 2013.  Yes, I know the striped one is crooked and that's my fault.  Future ones will not have this same character!

Tangerine & Tweed

Perhaps I'll just work backwards and post newest to oldest….this is my latest project.  "Tangerine & Tweed!"  I love it.  It's a cowl knitted using an entrelac pattern I found on Ravelry.com.  (Free pattern here.)  That's my son.  (He's going through that phase where they think they look cooler in pictures if they aren't smiling.  SMH.)
